As I related on the Apple page, a Mac mini is the entry-level mac. It is a powerful computer bottled into a small container. They are a joy to own. Compared to a regular desktop computer, they are tiny. They are also extremely quiet. A Mini is a great computer for the price, and it's very portable. Many of the components that make up the mini are laptop components. It has many of the same features you'd expect to find on a laptop computer. 

Here is a list of some of the features that come standard on Mac Mini desktops:

• Speaker and Mic ports

These features are pretty much standard across the board. What you'll want to look out for, when purchasing a Mac Mini is older versions of the desktop. They all look pretty much identical. You want to confirm that you are buying an Intel-based Mac Mini, one that has an Intel CPU. Some of the older Mac Mini

desktops use the G4 and G5 processors. Modern Mac applications utilize the Intel processors. Apple switched all of their computers over to Intel-based processors a few years ago. You may find an older Mac Mini that is real cheap, but you won't be able to run the latest Intel-based apps on it.
